Founded by Merle and Lester France in 1913, FRANCE products have been providing power solutions for electric signs for almost a century. Since our humble beginnings, FRANCE has been recognized as an innovator in power solutions for battery chargers, ignition transformers, neon lighting transformers and magnetic/electronic ballasts, among others.

In 1967, FRANCE became a division of the Scott Fetzer Company, a Fortune 500 organization whose holdings include Kirby Vacuum Cleaners, Worldbook Encyclopedia and Cambell Hausfeld brands.

Since 1973, FRANCE headquarters and manufacturing have been located in Fairview, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. Our product offerings have significantly expanded to provide power solutions for a broad array of lighting technologies, including LED, neon, cold-cathode, fluorescent and HID. Throughout these changes, however, we have continued to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to delivering superior value to our customers, providing reliable power solutions that customers can depend on.
